Overview

The deployment of container clusters is fully automated and managed by the Valex Cloud Orchestration system. Cloud Compute servers are provisioned to run the cluster, and integrated security features ensure a robust, secure environment.

Deployment Process

  • Automated Orchestration:
Once you submit your cluster template, our orchestration system takes over to deploy the necessary resources.
  • Compute Provisioning:
Cloud Compute servers are automatically allocated to serve as the nodes of your container cluster based on the specifications in your template.
  • Seamless Integration:
The deployment process integrates with our Object Storage service for the local registry and with our Vault Service for storing secrets and certificates.

Managing Secrets and Certificates

  • Security and Compliance:
Secrets, certificates, and other sensitive data are stored in our Vault Service. This integration ensures that access credentials and security certificates are managed securely.
  • Usage in Clusters:
During deployment, the orchestration system retrieves required secrets and certificates from the Vault Service, automatically injecting them into the cluster configuration as needed.
  • Best Practices:
    • Regularly rotate keys and certificates.
    • Limit access to sensitive data through strict policies.
    • Monitor access logs for any unusual activity.

Best Practices for Cluster Deployment

  • Pre-Deployment Checklist:
Verify that your cluster templates and key pairs are configured correctly.
  • Monitor Deployments:
Use the cloud panel to track the progress of your cluster creation and manage updates.
  • Security First:
Ensure that your secrets and certificates are up to date in the Vault Service before deployment.
