Overview

Valex Cloud’s LBaaS enables enterprises to distribute incoming traffic across multiple resources efficiently. This service supports both application and network load balancing, ensuring high availability and improved response times.

Key Features

  • Automatic Traffic Distribution:
LBaaS automatically directs incoming requests to the appropriate backend resources.

  • Health Monitoring:
Continuous health checks ensure that only healthy endpoints receive traffic.

  • Scalability:
Easily scale your load balancers as your traffic patterns evolve.

Configuration Steps

  1. Access the LBaaS Dashboard:
Log in to your cloud panel and navigate to the LBaaS section.

  2. Create a Load Balancer:

    • Name & Description: Provide a unique name and description for easy identification.
    • Select a Private Network: Choose your VPC or subnet for internal load balancing.
  3. Define Listener & Pools:

    • Listener Setup: Configure ports, protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, etc.), and SSL/TLS settings if needed.
    • Backend Pools: Add your servers or instances to the pool. Configure health checks (intervals, timeout, thresholds).
  4. Review & Deploy:
Validate your settings and deploy the load balancer. Monitor its status through the dashboard.

Best Practices

  • Health Check Configuration: Regularly update health check settings based on your application’s performance.
  • SSL Termination: Consider terminating SSL/TLS at the load balancer for enhanced performance.
  • Traffic Analysis: Monitor load distribution to adjust backend capacity as needed.
